Car written test: Turns and U-turns

This category tests the position and order for left and right turns and U-turns. For a left turn, signal at least 30 metres before the intersection and turn when you reach the centre of the intersection; on a round green light, wait until there is no oncoming through traffic and it is safe before turning left. On roads with fast and slow lanes divided by a median, unless signs, markings or signals say otherwise, the slow lane may not turn left and the fast lane may not turn right. Before a U-turn, stop and signal left with lights or a hand signal, and turn only after checking that no traffic or pedestrians are coming. U-turns are not allowed on sections with signs for bends, slopes, narrow bridges or tunnels, or at railway level crossings.
